Rythm 2.0
Ad-free Discord music bot with a real-time web dashboard and a "zero-lag" architecture.

Overview
Rythm 2.0 is an ad-free Discord music bot, born from a frustration common to users of these tools: commands, queues, waits and ad breaks that shatter the experience. The goal was to put the music back at the center and the commands at the edges.
Instead of a chat of commands, the bot is designed as a Discord Activity: a Node.js audio engine and a Preact dashboard that controls playback over WebSocket. You look and touch, you do not type.
The WebSocket channel is bidirectional and keeps controls responsive, with a stated sub-50 ms response. This is the most delicate part: an audio interface must respond instantly or lose the feeling of direct control.
Attention to CPU usage is a design constraint, not an afterthought: the dashboard is lightweight because it runs inside Discord, where resources are limited. Playback draws from YouTube, Spotify and SoundCloud via discord.js and discord-player.
Rythm 2.0 is an experiment in building a real-time interface inside a closed ecosystem like Discord, where the technical margin is thin and every perceived millisecond counts.
